FASHION

On May 20, the Great Hall of the Bohemian National Hall in New York will host a major fashion show presenting fashion designer Šárka Šišková’s ouvre. Her collection, entitled “The Cities Inside of Me “, which was inspired by two cities – New York and Zlin – interweaves the whole project in a brilliant way. The academic painter Šárka Šišková is the Head of the Studio of Fashion Design at the Faculty of Multimedia Communications at the Tomas Bata University in Zlín, where she is also in charge of the Head of the Department of Product Design. www.siskova.cz

FRESH DESIGN

Talented up-and-coming designers from the Fashion Design, 3D Design, Industrial Design and Shoe Design studios based at the Department of Product Design at the Faculty of Multimedia Communications at Tomas Bata University in Zlín will showcase their work in the Czech Center New York. The exhibition starts on May 15 and runs until July 31. www.fmk.utb.cz

ARCHITECTURE
The design of the exhibition was executed by the eminent Zlín architect Hana Maršíková, partially with the help of her students. Maršíková is the Head of the Studio of 3D Design at the Department of Product Design at the Faculty of Multimedia Communications at Tomas Bata University in Zlín. www.fmk.utb.cz

PHOTOGRAPHY
Dan Vojtěch and Tereza Vlčková, two students of the Studio of Advertising Photography at the Faculty of Multimedia Communications at Tomas Bata University, participated on the preparation of photographs presenting Šárka Šišková’s fashion designs.

FILM
An audiovisual presentation of Šárka Šišková’s fashion collection, which will accompany the fashion show, was created by Linda Vorlíčková, an Audiovisual Arts student at the Faculty of Multimedia Communications at Tomas Bata University in Zlín.

GRAPHIC DESIGN
