Designer’s own words: We asked ourselves, how a modern individual, caring for their comfort and time, could spend a time of journey on the train? For example, it’s been a long time since avia carriers think about passengers’ convenience, improving plane interiors, organizing free time and providing extra-class onboard service. When choosing a train, for relatively small price an individual gets reliability, safety and a lot of time that they are to organize by themselves.
Exactly for this individual, who doesn’t want to waste time during the trip, we work out our concept train, and the first part of it – a 7-compartment palace car.
Each compartment contains two full-fledged places for adults, there’s also a possibility to accommodate a family with a little child, as a lower couchette is wide enough for two. A separate ergonomic chair with a glass-holder for each passenger and a central elbow-rest between chairs houses a sliding bar with an ashtray. When transforming the chairs into a lower couchette, elbow-rests go down and soft parts, made of porous material, change their shape.
Opposite the transforming chairs, there’s a permanent one, where a child, guest or a passenger of upper couchette can stay, while a lower one is laid. A traditional table is now equipped with glass-holders and can be moved along the window.
Inside a panel with the window there’s a falling shutter, glass can change its tone to the passengers’ request. Illumination includes dot lamps and central lamp in the ceiling and individual lamps in the chair-backs, suitable, for example, for reading.
For passengers’ comfort there’s a lavatory in each compartment, a wardrobe for their clothes and luggage, and a luggage space behind the door over the corridor.
There are wall outlets, internet and TV with not only TV-stations, but DVD, music menu (you can set one for the whole compartment or each passenger, as each chair has earphones in the elbow-rests). TV screen can also serve as a monitor for a playstation, or to display useful info, for instance, one can order their meal from the restaurant, call a conductor or obtain historical information about the places on the way. It means, spend your time with maximal comfort, working or having rest.
