Company “ROCA” – the leading international brand on the market of bathroom equipment – has resumed the first All-Russian contest “Space winning” in the sphere of bathroom interior. There were more than 200 contestants from St. Petersburg to Vladivostok.
Contest was started on May 1st 2008; works were accepted till June 30. Both professionals and beginners in interior design took part in this contest.
Main prizes (unique tour of famous art museums of Europe including visit to Barcelona – the capital of international architecture) were presented to:
Yaroslav Rassadin (Moscow) for actual design, modern shapes and realistic approach with a view to industrial production.
Georgiy Savchenko (St. Petersburg) for poetical concept and functional approach to a bathroom space.
Projects were appraised by international jury with famous designers from all over the world (Jürg Heuberger (Switzerland), Ramon Benedito (Spain), Antonio Bullo (Italy), Borja Ferrater (Spain), Artem Tomazoff (Russia) and Antonio Linares(from “ROCA”). Organizers and jury members were impressed by enthusiasm, creativity and diversity of contestants. Bathroom became a space of unusual shapes, colors and textures.
Solemn award ceremony was held in SEVEN SKY BAR (St. Petersburg) on July 24.
Besides all of that, ROCA has a right to realize the most interesting works from this contest in the new interiors and since the company is highly interested in design industry development of Russia such contests will become traditional.
