Art Lebedev Studio designed USB hub, as they say “beautiful USB hub” yes! maybe it is but why is it so big empty box? What about to save some material and make it subtle? What do you think? Polish jewellery by LuaLua has been shown lately in London at designers sale organised by Craft Central, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to support and promote craft and design. Located in London is open for unique craft products and its creators Crafts people and designer-makers. LuaLua is now exhibited in Tate Modern gallery as an accompanying exhibition for the exhibition of Russian Constructionism and in Barbican by the exhibition of Le Corbusieur. Speaker at Auto(r) Automotive Design Conference 2009: Kemal Curić is the best Bosnian automotive interior designer. He was born in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina in 1978 and moved to Germany where graduated Industrial design at Wuppertall University in 2003. A student project came into Ford attention and they hired him to create an interior for Iosis X based on same student sketches. Same work won him Interior Motives design award in 2005 when he was nominated by colleagues without his knowing. Beside this concept, Curić has designed interior for production cars Kuga and Ka, since 2006 he works in exterior design department. Read the rest of this entry »

Now in its fourth successful year, this unique collaboration between Central Saint Martins in London and Domus Academy and NABA, Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti in Milan enables students to study in two of Europe’s most inspiring cities taking complementary courses in the fields of Fashion Design, Graphic Design, Interior Design, Product Design, Event Design and Photography. Speaker at Auto(r) Automotive Design Conference 2009: Today, there are just few designers in the world that are allowed to place their nameplate on car they have designed. Belgrade born Serbian designer Saša Lakić (44) is one of them. He designed all seven Venturi models that are made since Gildo Pallanca Pastor, the wealthiest Monegasque, took over this French GT car producer in 2001. Saša Lakić father was a fashion designer that worked in Paris for Yves Saint-Laurent and Nina Ricci so it was natural for Saša to become a designer. He has decided to work as industrial designer in 1981, when he was only seventeen and as a self thought, designed a vast number of products from furniture and watches to knives and bottles, but cars and motorbikes remained his favourite.
