Three young Polish designers – Agnieszka Bar, Agnieszka Kajper and Karina Marusińska debuted for a first time under the name ‘Wzorowo’ in BB Gallery in Krakow.

Wzorowo: comes from ‘wzór’ [design]… To a large extent the word ‘Wzorowo’ [in model fashion] is associated with the People’s Republic motif of the badge for the model student, who was thus distinguished from the pack, rewarded for being ‘correct’ or even above-average. Handing out these badges to students was standard practice in our country, thus partly defining our roots and identity. We don’t want to just replicate existing formula or generate new formula. In spite of the simplicity of form that reigns in our designs, it is only the details that serve to disturb the conventional ways of thinking about design.
