Designlab polish team founded in 2005 launched their latest project “O! Cap” at DMY – Berlin recently. O! Cap creates atmosphere through color and aroma. It is a scented silicon cap put on a energy saving bulb in order to color light and to release an aroma through emitted temperature that is normally wasted.

Depending on your mood you can choose the appropriate colour and smell for example yellow with an refreshing combination of fragrances.

O! can be used with any kind of lampshade as well as on its own.

Designlab is a group of designers and representatives of other specialized fields. The core of the group comprises of Magdalena Czapiewska and Karol Murlak, Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts graduates’. The idea of collaborating came up whilst studying at Falmouth College of Arts.

They believe designing means solving problems, hence the focus on innovation. For inspiration they look at people and their needs. They explore the interaction between an object or space and its user.

The team has created designs in scales across the board—from large public spaces to objects you can hide in the palm of your hand. Their designs have won competitions and received awards; they have been presented in prestigious magazines and at international fairs such as DMY in Berlin. They have carried out numerous design projects for international enterprises (Deutsche Bank, Boston Consulting Group), Polish companies (Vox, Forte), and private customers.
