Adam Štěch with his brother Jakub and friend Matěj Činčera have founded of OKOLO based in Prague, Czech republic. They are creative group interested in design, architecture, fashion, style, and of course bike. Adam is design curator and editor and he is interested in different approach to writing about design and its presentation. They would like to make some creative curatorial projects and exhibitions with collaboration with designers and artists. On www.okoloweb.cz they will also start a curatorial blog, which will not be only about news, but more with concept approach to presentation of design and human creativity.

First exhibition which they have curated was on DESIGNBLOK’09 in Prague. Because their passion is also BMX, they have presented curated exhibition of contemporary BMX design. They have selected some most progressive components that time and created colorful installation, which represents BMX design like a specific and very unknown part of industrial design. They wanted to make connection with contemporary style, trends in fashion or furniture design. They think, that the same trends, which exist in high design and fashion, are also in so utilitarian things like BMX components. They are thinking also about problem what is possible to exhibit like design and what is not. So the exhibition BMX Visionarists, which was name of the show, was especially about looking for new context of design process and work and also new way of looking at BMX generally.

With this exhibition they also presented the small collection of one-off, more gallery pieces, Toolboxes, that created three designers. Maxim Velčovský, Martin Žampach and Golberrries studio created own visions of toolbox for bike.

Their collection of t-shirts called Hedonist is also curated project, where Adam tries to find new possibility of t-shirt like a exhibition medium. Adam selected three designs of 1950s, which together show more artistic approach to design objects. They are true hedonists in design. Gio Ponti, Gino Sarfatti and John Risley are three designers, whos works are on t-shirts. Every t-shirt is packed in the box with article about designer and his work on the cover.
