Designer Tea Petrovic from Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina has designed a collection of experimental women shoes inspired by sculptor Nuam Gabo and architect Santiago Calatrava.
The collection includes ten different prototypes in similar shapes like Gabos constructivist sculptures and Calatravas buildings. Russian origin Nuam Gabo (1890 – 1977) was with his brother Antoine Pevsner one of the most important figure of art avant-garde. His sculptures are characterized by new materials and very geometric and sharp shapes. The similar shape logic have also shoes by Petrovic with abstract forms as a decorative elements. The same way of design is to see in Santiago Calatrava inspired shoes with his typical shapes of pillars and roofs.
