From May 27 to 30, 2010, the seventh year of Assembly festival took place in Graz, Austria. It assembled almost eighty designers from both Austria and abroad, transforming the Styrian capital of Graz into a platform for design and related disciplines.
The festival assembly grows bigger and more international every year. Besides strong Styrian attendance, the participants come from Bosnia, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Latvia, and Slovenia. Again this year, one focus lied on fashion. The opening fashion show took place in the fair building Messe Graz. The festival headquarters was located in the building called “Wilder Mann” on Jakoministrasse 3-5. On four levels, visitors could see an exhibition of fashion design, jewellery, furniture and other very diverse design objects, most of them for sale.
