This year’s Imperial Design Symposium happened to be in spirit of traditional local material porcelain. Its protagonist was Martin Přibík whose creations can be seen in galleries and museums around Czech Republic.
The fact that the only one designer took part in this year symposium is the result of global economic crisis and reality that it affects spa industry too. Even through that one product has been created and manufactured. Interesting artistic yet functional object – double side bowl for fruits in the shape of plastic map of Karlovy Vary. Bowl will attract spa visitors with its originality as much as the results of past year`s symposiums. Good statement is that Imperial Karlovy Vary continuing with long term collaboration with Czech Designers and promoting connection between design and balneology.
