Interactive light “Tvor” has won Czech National Award for Student Design 2010. Device is searching dark spot in the room or in the open space and illuminating it. Once it illuminates that spot, it is not dark any more, so device continue searching and illuminating spots all around. “Tvor” is and original vision of interactive mobile object with never ending task
.
Description by the the designer:
Tvor is endowed with artificial intelligence that steers it towards the darkest place in the room. It seeks out darkness relentlessly, but its illuminating presence transfers the darkness to another place. Tvor is thus doomed to endless travel.
The main buliding block of Tvor is Arduino, an open-source electronics prototyping platform based on flexible, easy-to-use hardware and software. Arduino can sense the environment by receiving input from a variety of sensors and can affect its surroundings by controlling lights, motors, and other devices.
