Haven´t you visit any design festival for a long time? Then we thoroughly recommend you to go and enjoy Budapest Design Week 2011, festival supported by the Hungarian Intellectual Property Office and the Hungarian Design Council. It is being organised in cooperation with Design Terminal for the eight time between the 30th of September and the 9th of October 2011.
The main aim of Budapest Design Week 2011 is to define the unique culture and local design in Hungary as the theme of festival is COULEUR LOCALE. The art terminus technicus originating from French romanticism serves as the slogan of Budapest Design Week this year referring to our cultural DNA, the unique features and design values of the country’s visual culture, local tones and colours following from our special Central European position and existence.
You should visit two uppermost important and interesting exhibitions. Poland will be represented there in various styles from jewerly design, textil design, professional lectures as well as a exhibition organised by the Museum of Applied Arts, the “UNPOLISHED“ – young design from Poland. Second one is always held and through the years has become a key exhibition of Budapest Design Week – Most outstanding Hungarian design awards. Last but not least, you can buy some extraordinary stuff in Design Week Discount shops and for the first time, you can taste the original Hungarian food in gastronomic shops.
