Dóri Tomcsanyi is a very young Hungarian fashion designer. After she returned to Hungary from Paris in 2009 she launched “Kepp Showroom” with four fellow Hungarian design students. In the spring of this year she founded her own showroom downtown Budapest and this is her third individual project, a winter collection for 2011/2012.
Her mark is a fine mixture of minimalistic cuts, quality fabrics and vivid colours that she applies on comfortable street wear. The winter collection also represents a more classical approach to femininity – the bold, geometrical shapes are no longer in focus, instead fine fabrics are used, such as silk, muslin and leather. Bright cherry red reminds us the hot summer, while melancholic dark blue and powder colour (the favorite of the designer) are used for basics. Once again, Janka Juhos created jewellery for the collection, her pieces respond nicely to these fine curves.
