There is an Italian possessive pronoun ‘nostro’, that means ’ours’ in English and there is a tiny gastrobar in Budapest, called Nostro Gastronomy, that is a result of an Italian-Hungarian cooperation. The name and its meaning define the character of the place, so in this way, every single part of the interior reflects the owners’ personality. The image and the interior design was made by POS1T1ON, whose ideas combined with the owners’ ideas could create a warm and personal atmosphere.
Inside, thanks to the high headroom, the space is divided into two main places, one is the counter, that you bump into immediately as you enter, the other is the gallery above with chairs, tables and where mini exhibitons can be held. Three of the walls were painted snowwhite, while one breaks this balance with its unplastered surface. Along the stairs there is a white grid, that leads the guests to the gallery. Here the dominant colour is white in furnishing, the only exception is the wooden desk. On the wall there is a huge blackboard for the guests to leave little messages or drawings and in the end of every month, before the board is cleaned, the owner take a photo about it to keep all the kind words.
Together with the superb interior we have to mention the varied food, cakes and drink offers. It mostly consist of Italian and Hungarian specialties combined with some individual recipe, in addition Nostro Gastronomy’s one of the biggest honor is the fact, that they use natural, garden-grown ingredients, homemade jam and syrup. After all I can only offer to visit this gastrobar at least once, but look out! You may become addicted!
