Each year Young Creative Chevrolet challenges students around the globe in the effort to support emerging artists in the early stages of their careers as well as to reinforce the core values of one of the most iconic automobile brands.  The contest, launched in 2007, is aimed at students of applied arts who pursue their studies in Fashion, Photography, Video and Visual Arts.

YCC creates a connection between schools, designers and the professional community. 280 schools from 24 European countries took participation in the competition last year and heightened the attention of media as well as leaders and innovators from the art industry.

Submitted projects are judged on both national and European level.  The top three national winners in each discipline receive a cash prize and public acknowledgment through local events. The top three international winners will receive a cash prize and invitation to a gala awards ceremony, previously held in Berlin, Paris, London and Los Angeles. Winning projects will be used by Chevrolet Europe in communication with media, at motor shows and as public relations materials.

In 2013 YCC came up with the football theme as a celebration of this global phenomenon. Chevrolet is stepping up its involvement in the game as a sponsor of two of the world’s most popular teams, Manchester United and Liverpool FC and One World Futbol Project for children in need.  If you are interested and want to participate in one of the selected disciplines, you can register your school until December 31, 2012 and submit your application until April 15, 2013.
