Arjowiggins Creative Papers and Curious Collection have always been recognized as innovators in their field, offering unconventional paper products that push the boundaries of printed communication. They offer a great choice of colours, textures and finishes to make your packaging, advertising and promotional prints stand out.
To highlight their new range of colours, forecasted by the well-known Edelkoort Studio, they’ve come up with an international competition called 2nd Skin Contest that challenges contemporary artists to create original paper masks. Entries may be made from Curious Collections which you can order online or through one of the distributors for Central and Eastern Europe, located in Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Slovenia, Hungary, Serbia, Estonia or Latvia. You can also use any other paper as long as your design reflects your talent and individuality. You can win a Special Audience Prize if you post a photo of yourself or someone else wearing your mask on the web and share it on social networks and you gain the highest amount of votes and ‘likes’.
The top designs will be selected by an international jury of designers and special ambassadors – French contemporary artist Kriki, New York-based Japanese artist Kako Ueda and French multimedia studio Bonsoir Paris; based on below criteria: conceptual strength, quality of execution, beauty of the design and originality. The best entries will be awarded with lomo-cameras and The Creative Review subscriptions.
If you have what it takes don’t forget to upload your photo by February 28, 2013.
