2nd Glass is Tomorrow Workshop in Novy Bor, Czech Republic

From 29 January till 3 February 2012 will take place second workshop within the GLASS IS TOMORROW framework. Twenty glass professionals will gather in Novy Bor, Czech Republic. We can mention for example: Rony Plesl (CZ), Arik Levy (FR), Matteo Gonet (CH), Maxim Velčovský (CZ). The first workshop took place in Nuutajärvi, Finland from 12 till 16 September. GLASS IS TOMORROW is a European network which aims at establishing a more fluid exchange of knowledge and competencies between glass and design professionals in the north, south, east and west of Europe.

As you probably know we have visited this year design festival in Budapest Hungary Design Hét 2011. We have opened our exhibition project DESIGNEAST.EU OFFLINE in downtown and you can check the video from the opening. We have also co-curated exhibition COULEUR LOCALE which was the main higlight of the whole event in Budapest. Also from there we have made the video report which was published last week.

Budapest Design Week 2011 – COULEUR LOCALE – The Colours of Europe in Objects presented design objects from close to thirty countries. Introduced contemporary design trends through ninety design pieces, the exhibition is trying to answer the question whether it makes sense to talk about national character in a globalised world. Organised by Budapest Design Week, the theme and the title of the opening exhibition was the same as the slogan of the festival this year (couleur locale).

As you all know we have took some offline actions recently. One in Budapest and one in Prague. Exhibition in Budapest is over but Prague edition was installed on 11.10. and will be there until the end of year 2011. Right now we have freshly edited video from opening of DESIGNEAST.EU OFFLINE exhibition in Budapest. We hope you will enjoy it.
