Czech DESIGNMAG has started new video agregator website designvid.cz, even it is only in Czech you can enjoy the video content from around the world.

One of the main stars of the conference was Fabio Filippini, Vice President Design and Chief Creative Officer of Pininfarina SpA. Chief to the studio that designs for Ferrari and Maserati introduced the approach to designing cars in one of the oldest and most famous Italian design brands.

Another successful Czech designer at the conference was Jan Dědek, Chief Transportation Designer in the Austrian studio Design Storz, who outlined the system of automotive transportation in 2050. Visitors could also see the new Czech super motorcycle FGR Midalu. Stanislav Hanuš, its author, spoke about its design.

Now we have a platform to fund our great product ideas. Since kickstarter workded well for funding some nice products too. I was frustrated after I discovered I need US bank account to try it. Now CKIE is here and provides this service anyone with paypal account. So designers go for it, if you have exciting project in your drawer and it is just there because you are not able to fund it by yourself (or for some other money reason) try the crowd.

Polish designer Oskar Zieta, well known for his experiments with materials (Plopp stools for danish company Hay), created for Architonic website special installations at IMM Cologne.

The installations called Architonic Concept Space III is made using FIDU technology from welded sheet metal sleeves, which were pressure-inflated to create 3D forms, similar to Zietas Plopp stool. Outcome is an organic structure with striking visual effects. Zieta often works with FIDU technology in his studio Zieta Prozessdesign. Architonic is the important web source of design, products, materials and designers based in Zürich, Swiss.
